Optimization of The Use of Production Factors in Papaya Farming (Carica Papaya L.) on Two Different Varieties in Pekanbaru City

Abstrak

California and Bangkok papaya businesses are businesses that have economic value and high demand, so a way is needed to increase optimal production results. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of combination of production factors and analysis of resources owned by California and Bangkok papaya farmers to achieve optimal conditions. The population of this study was California papaya and Bangkok papaya farmers in Pekanbaru City. The method of determining the sample in this study was the purposive sampling method, and the number of respondent farmers was 20 California papaya farmers and 20 Bangkok papaya farmers based on land area of ​​± 1 ha, number of plants, labor and farming experience and capital in California papaya and Bangkok papaya farming. The data analysis technique used linear programming analysis. Based on the results of this study. The optimal production factors for California and Bangkok papaya in Pekanbaru are to plant 40 hectares and the allocation of capital availability resources and seedling cost constraints must be increased to achieve optimal profits.
