Growth and Production Cayenne Pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) Through The Application of Rabbit Manure Mixed Empty Fruit Bunch Ash of Oil Palm

Abstrak

Cayenne pepper is one of the horticultural commodities that is widely cultivated in Indonesia. One way to increase Cayenne pepper production is by using rabbit manure with empty fruit bunch of oil palm because friendly fertilizer and there are nutrients that its easily absorbed by plants and easily decomposed in the soil. The purpose of research was to determined the best dose for used rabbit manure mixed with empty fruit bunch ash of oil palm for growth and production of cayenne pepper. The research was conducted at Agriculture Research Development Science (UARDS) UIN Suska Riau (January-May 2023). The research used CRD with 5 treatments: P0 = 2 g NPK Fertilizer, P1 = 150 g, P2 = 300 g, P3 = 450 g, P4 = 600 g organic ferrtilizer from rabbit manure and empty fruith bunch. The parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, age at which flowers appeared, number of fruit/plant, weight of fruit/plant. The results showed gived organic fertilizer from rabbit manure mixed empty fruit bunch of oil palm with dose of 300 grams can influence diameter of the stem, speed up the age of flowers appear and weight of the fruit planted.
