Abstrak

Fertilizers greatly affect the growth and production of shallot plants so that they require the right
concentration of fertilizers. The concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) that was given too low would caused a
lack of nutrients and the concentration of LOF that was given too high caused it to be uneconomical and wasteful. This
study aims to obtain the best concentration of Nutritan liquid fertilizer in the growth and production of shallots. This
research was carried out from September to December 2021 at the Laboratory of UIN Agriculture Research
Development Station (UARDS) on experimental land and the Laboratory of Agronomy and Agrostology, Faculty of
Agriculture and Animal Science, UIN Sulatan Syarif Kasim Riau. The method used is an experimental method with a
randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 5 treatments with 6 replications. The treatment factors consisted of
(control POMI 0.5%, Nutritan 5%, Nutritan 10%, Nutritan 15%, and Nutritan 20%). Parameters observed were plant
height, number of leaves, number of tubers, tuber diameter, plant wet weight, plant dry weight and shallot production.
The results showed that here is no concentration of Nutritan liquid fertilizer that is best in increasing the growth and
production of shallots because all treatments have the same effect, so it is necessary to increase the concentration of
liquid fertilizer Nutritan.
