Test of Various Liquid Fertilizers on Growth and Production of Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.)

Abstrak

Improper fertilization can cause low eggplant production. To increase the productivity of eggplants requires fertilization with organic materials, an attempt to add environmentally friendly nutrients.  The aim of the research is to obtain the best type of liquid fertilizer for the growth and yield of eggplant plants (Solanum melongena L.). This research was carried out at the UARDS Agronomy and Agrostology, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science Universitas Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, test field in January-April 2023. This study is structured using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments, namely: P0= Control (Nasa), P1= Nutritantan, P2= D.I Grow, P3= Green Tonic, P4= Pomi, each treatment was 10 repeated times to obtain 50 experimental units.  The observation parameters in this study were plant height, number of branches, flowering time, number of fruits per plant, weight of fruits per fruit, weight of fruits per plant, diameter of fruits per plant, length of fruits per plant, wet weight of plant, dry weight of  the plant. Based on the research results, the treatment of different liquid fertilizers have no real impact on eggplant plants on the parameters of plant height, number of branches, flowering time, dry weight of the plant, and make a real impact the parameters of the number of fruits per plant,  weight of fruits per fruit, weight of fruits per plant, diameter of fruits per plant, length of fruits per plant, wet weight of the plant, as well as the application of Nutritantan liquid fertilizer helps increase production yields based on the parameters of the number. number of fruits per plant, weight of fruits per fruit, weight of fruits per plant and length of fruits per plant. The conclusion of the study in which various cir fertilizers were tested on the growth and production of eggplant plants is that the application of liquid fertilizer Nutritantan is the best liquid fertilizer for increasing production yields in eggplant plants.
