Abstrak

A good fertilizer is a fertilizer that contains complete nutrients (macro and micro), contains organic materials, is sufficient for plant growth, is effective and efficient. Compost pelets added with 2% NPK will produce fertilizer that contains complete nutrients to support optimal plant growth so that the right dosage is needed. This study aims to determine the dosage compost pelets that have been added with 2% NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallots. This research was conducted from January to March 2024 at the UARDS research field and the PEMTA laboratory of the Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau State Islamic University. The method used was a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments with 8 replicates. The treatment consists of 250 g compost pelets without NPK, 50 g, 100 g, 150 g, 200 g compost pelets addes NPK 2% and 10 g NPK without compos pelets. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves clump, diameter of bulbs, number of bulbs clump, wet weight of bulbs clump, wind dry weight of bulbs clump, and leaf color. The results showed that the treatment of compost pelets dose of 150 g/polybag gave a real influence on the parameters of plant height, number of bulbs clump, wet weight of bulbs clump, and wind dry weight of bulbs clump. It is recommended to use dose of compost pelets 150 g/polybag because it can increase the growth and yield of shallot plants.
