The availability of high-quality forage often becomes a challenge in ruminant livestock farming, especially during the dry season or when land is limited. This issue highlights the need for alternative feed sources that are economical, nutritious, and capable of being preserved for extended periods, one of which is through the ensiling process. The combination of corn straw and cassava leaves has the potential to produce hight quality silage. This study aims to determine the effect of the comparison of corn straw and cassava leaves on the physical quality, pH, and fleigh value of silage. The research was conducted in March–April 2025 at the Nutrition and Feed Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. This study used an experimental method with a complete randomized design (CRD), consisting of five treatments and four replication. The parameters observed were odor, color, texture, presence of mold, pH, and fleigh value. The results showed that the difference in ingredient composition was significantly (P<0.05) on texture, mold, and fleigh value, but had no effect (P>0.05) on aroma, color, and pH. It can be concluded that the best treatment was a composition of 25% corn straw and 75% cassava leaves with an odor value of 3.38, color of 3.37, texture of 2.93, presence of fungi 3.48, pH of 4.29, fleigh value of 126.54.
