Sago waste can be processed into silage using rumen fluid microbes as an additive. The utilization of sago waste should be optimized to avoid environmental issues. This study aimed to determine the nutritional quality of sago waste silage with the addition of various concentrations of rumen fluid. The experiment was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. Treatments were the addition of rumen fluid, namely H0 = 0%; H1 = 2%; H2 = 4%; and H3 = 6%. Parameters observed were crude protein, dry matter, crude fiber, ash, crude fat, and nitrogen-free extract (NFE). The results showed a very significant difference (P<0.01) in the use of rumen fluid on changes in crude protein, crude fat, and NFE; significant (P<0.05) on dry matter and crude fiber content, but had no effect (P>0.05) on ash content. The best treatment was H3 with a 6% concentration of rumen fluid added to sago waste silage, resulting in the highest dry matter (86.49%) and crude protein (10.31%) as well as the lowest crude fiber 9.20%.
