Abstrak

Syzygium polyanthum walp is an herbal plant that has many benefits, one of which is increasing blood circulation in the skin. This study aims to determine the effect of adding bay leaf flour as a feed additive in the ration on the blood profile of broiler chickens. The materials used in this study were 80 DOC and bay leaf flour. This study is an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD), with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were PO: 100% basal ration without the addition of 0% bay leaf flour, PI: 98% basal ration with the addition of 2% bay leaf flour, P2: 96% basal ration with the addition of 4% bay leaf flour P3: 94% basal ration with addition of 6% bay leaf flour. The parameters of this study were Erythocytes, Leukocytes and Thrombocytes. The data obtained were analyzed based on analysis of variance and if there was a significant effect between treatments, it was continued with the Duncam double area test at 5% level. The results of this study showed that the administration of bay leaf flour (TDS) in the ration had no significant effect (P>0.05) on Erythocytes, Leukocytes and Thrombocytes. The conclusion of this study is that the addition of bay leaf flour at a level of 6% has no significant effect on the blood profile of broiler chickens seen from red blood cells (erythocytes), white blood cells (leukocytes) and blood platelets (trombocytes).
