The Relationship Between Knowledge, Attitudes, and Peer Support with Iron Tablet Consumption at Al Huda High School, Pekanbaru

Abstrak

Anemia is a condition that describes hemoglobin levels in the blood that are lower than normal. Adolescent girls who suffer from anemia will be carried over to pregnancy and will have a negative impact on the health of the mother and fetus so it needs to be overcome, one of which is by consuming Iron Supplementation (TTD)To determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and peer support with TTD consumption at SMAS Al-Huda Pekanbaru.This study was conducted I n February 2024 at SMAS Al-Huda Pekanbaru with a cross sectional approach and sampling using a total sampling technique of 135 respondents and using the chi square test. Statistical tests showed that there was an association between the knowledge and adherence to consumption TTD at SMAS Al-Huda Pekanbaru with a p-value of 0.036, then there was an association between attitude and adherence to consumption TTD at SMAS Al-Huda Pekanbaru with a p-value of 0.033 and there was an association between peer support and adherence to consumption TTD at SMAS Al-Huda Pekanbaru with a p-value of 0.030.
