KERAGAMAN UKURAN TUBUH SAPI KUANTAN DI KECAMATAN RENGAT BARAT KABUPATEN INDRAGIRI HULU PROVINSI RIAU

Abstrak

Kuantan cattle are one of Indonesia's local cattle originating from Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to
identify the diversity of body sizes of kuantan cattle in Rengat Barat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The study
was carried out in December 2021-March 2022. There were 31 kuantan cattle, consisting of 20 female Kuantan cattle and 11 male
Kuantan cattle aged 2-3 years. The average size of male Kuantan cattle is shoulder height (Tp) 110.45 ± 6.79 (6.15), body length (Pb)
103.09 ± 8.98 (8.71), chest circumference (Lgd) 125.09 ± 9.20 (7.36), chest width (Ld) 27.45 ±1.92 (6.98), chest depth (Dd), 53.73 ±
5.22 (9.71), hip height ( Tpg), 116.55 ± 8.15 (7.00), Hip Width (Lpg) 30.00 ± 3.87 (12.91) and Body Weight 111.55 ± 17.75 (15.91).
While female body size Shoulder height (Tp) 110.68 ± 5.91 (5.34), Body length (Pb) 106.05 ± 5.80 (5.47), Chest circumference (Lgd)
130.63 ± 10.12 (7.75), Chest Width (Ld) 29.26 ± 3.53 (12.05), Inside Chest (Dd) 52.16 ± 4.51 (8.65), Hip Height (Tpg) 116.42 ± 6
,17 (5.30), hip width (Lpg) 35.37 ± 4.57 (12.93) and body weight 122.26 ± 20.25 (16.56). The size of the hip width of female Kuantan
cattle is higher than male Kuantan cattle
