Valuation of The Implementation of Good Farming Practice on Dairy Goat Farming in Pekanbaru City
Abstrak
One of the efforts to increase milk production for dairy goats is by applying Good Farming Practices (GFP). This study aims to determine the characteristics of breeders and evaluate GFP on dairy goat farms in Pekanbaru City. The number of farms was 4 (four). Aspects that are assessed are the respondents' characteristics, infrastructure and production aspects. The research was conducted using survey methods and interviews with breeder owners. Farmer characteristic data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the evaluation of GFP implementation are analyzed by weighting based on the aspect of interest in GFP. The results showed that generally, farmers were in the age group 30-50 years, high school education level, and owned dairy goats with a population of >20 heads. The GFP implementation score on the facilities aspect was 85.75%, and the production aspect was 78%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of GFP on dairy goat farms in Pekanbaru City is in a good category.
