PENGARUH EKSTRAK DAUN PEPAYA (Carica papaya L.) DALAM MENGHAMBAT PERTUMBUHAN Ganoderma orbiforme (Fr) Ryvarden SECARA IN VITRO

Abstrak

The use of papaya leaf extract as a vegetable pesticide can be used to inhibit the growth of G. orbiforme. This study
aims to obtain the concentration of papaya leaf extract which is effective in inhibiting the growth of G. orbiforme in
vitro. The research was carried out from December 2021 to January 2022 at the Laboratory of Pathology, Entomology,
Microbiology and Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic
University, Riau. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments (0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4%)
treatments were repeated 5 times, totaling 25 trials. Parameters observed for G. orbiforme were macroscopic
characteristics, growth rate (cm/day), inhibition test (%), wet weight (%) and dry weight (%). The results showed that
papaya leaf extract with a concentration of 4% was effective against 65.47% inhibition, 0.22 cm/day growth rate, 52,
95% wet weight and 53.38% dry weight.
