MORTALITAS WERENG HIJAU (Empoasca sp.) PADA PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN BELIMBING WULUH (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) DAN KULIT BATANG KELOR (Moringa olifer)

Mortality of Green Planthopper (Empoasca sp.) on Application of Bilimbi Leaf Extract (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) and Moringa Bark (Moringa olifer)

Abstrak

Control of green planthopper (Empoasca sp.) can be done chemically, but this can have a negative impacton the environment. An enviromentally friendly alternative can be using vegetable pesticides, one of which is bilimbi leaf extract (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) and moringa bark (Moringa olifer) in controlling green planthopper (Empoasca sp.). This research aims to determine the mortality of green planthopper (Empoasca sp.) when given bilimbi leaf extract (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) and moringa bark (Moringa olifer). This research was conducted in Laboratory of Pathology, Entomology, Microbiology and Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau and the Chemistry Education Laboratory, Faculty Tarbiah and Teacher Training Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, from February 2024 to March 2024. This research used a completely randomized design with 5 treatments, namely 0%, abamektin 2ml/l, 15% bilimbi leaf extract, 15% moringa bark extract, and a combination of bilimbi leaf extract and moringa bark extract 15%. The parameters observed were the initial time of death, daily mortality, total mortality, and changes in behavior. The result showed that the combination of bilimbi leaf extract and moringa bark extract 15% showed the best treatment with an initial death rate of 4,8 hours for green planthoppers and a total mortalily percentage of 100%.
