Tofu dregs represent a significant by-product of tofu production that contributes to solid waste accumulation. One potential approach to managing this waste is composting, enhanced through the addition of chicken manure and maggots (Hermetia illucens) as biological decomposers. This study aimed to determine the most effective maggot density for improving the macro-nutrient quality of tofu dreg compost enriched with chicken manure, following the RSNI3 7763:2024 compost quality standard. The experiment was conducted at Gunung Raya Street No. 69, Tenayan Raya District, Rejosari Village, Pekanbaru, Riau, with chemical analyses performed at the Wiwiadia Bintang Sains Padang Education Laboratory from May to June 2025. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was applied, consisting of four treatments: P0 (control, no maggots), P1 (50 g maggots), P2 (100 g maggots), and P3 (150 g maggots), each replicated five times. Parameters measured included pH, total nitrogen (N), available phosphorus (P), total potassium (K), organic carbon (C), and the C/N ratio. The results indicated that maggot application significantly enhanced the macro-nutrient content of tofu dreg compost. The treatment with 150 g of maggots (P3) yielded the highest improvement in total N, P, K, organic C, C/N ratio, and pH values, demonstrating its effectiveness in producing nutrient-rich compost.
