The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of onion peel meal addition in feed on internal organ weight percentage and abdominal fat of broiler chickens. The material used consisted of 144 day-old chicks (DOC) of Lohmann strain, which were raised for 35 days. The chickens were divided into 6 treatments and 4 replications. T0 (-): Basal diet, T0 (+): Basal diet + 0.1% zinc bacitracin antibiotic, T1: Basal diet + 0.25% onion peel meal, T2: Basal diet + 0.5% onion peel meal, T3: Basal diet + 0.75% onion peel meal, T4: Basal diet + 1% onion peel meal. The variables observed were internal organ weight percentage (heart, liver, gizzard, and spleen) and abdominal fat percentage of broiler chickens. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The results showed that the treatments had no significant effect (P>0.05) on internal organ weight percentage (heart, liver, gizzard, and spleen) and abdominal fat percentage of broiler chickens. Onion peel meal can be used as a feed additive at a 1% level to reduce abdominal fat percentage.
