Abstrak

Feed is the highest cost component of 60-70% in the laying duck business, so alternative feeds are needed that can improve the internal quality of eggs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of Condensed Molasses Solubles (CMS) in feed on the internal quality of eggs. The materials used were 20 female Mojosari ducks in the production phase aged 32 weeks, basal feed, CMS produced by PT. Daesang Indonesia. The research method used was experimental using a completely randomized series (CRD) of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments used were basal feed without treatment (T0), 97.5% basal feed + 2.5% CMS (T1), 95% basal feed + 5% CMS (T2), 92.5% basal feed + 7.5% CMS (T3), and 90% basal feed + 10% CMS (T4). The variables observed included egg white volume, egg yolk volume, egg white viscosity, egg yolk viscosity, haugh unit and egg air cavity. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan's Multi Range Test (DMRT) if differences were found between treatments. The results showed that the addition of CMS to the feed had a significant effect (P <0.05) on egg yolk viscosity, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on egg white volume, egg yolk volume, egg white viscosity, haugh unit and air cavity. The results of the study concluded that the use of 5% CMS gave the best results.
