Addition of Parijoto Fruit Extract Encapsulation to Rations on Protein, Heterophil and Lymphocyte Consumption of High Density Broiler Chickens

Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to examine the addition of parijoto fruit extract encapsulation to the ration on protein, heterophil and lymphocyte consumption of broiler chickens raised at high density. Parijoto fruit extract as a treatment additive. The experimental livestock used 300 unsexed Ross strain day old chicks broilers with an average body weight of 43.4 g. Treatment was given at the age of 9 days with an average body weight of 296.01 ± 5.19 g. The study was arranged using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications, so that there were 20 experimental units. The treatments applied included T0 (broiler chickens raised at a normal density of 10 chickens/m2); T1 (broiler chickens raised at a high density of 16 chickens/m2); T2 (T1 + 0.08% parijoto fruit extract) and T3 (T1 + 0.08% parijoto fruit extract encapsulation). The parameters measured included protein, heterophil and lymphocyte consumption. Data were analyzed for variance at a significance level of 5%, if there was a significant effect, it was continued with the Duncan test at a significance level of 5% to determine the differences between treatments. The results of the study showed that the addition of parijoto fruit extract encapsulation to the ration had a significant effect (p<0.05) on protein consumption, heterophils and lymphocytes of broiler chickens raised at high density. The conclusion of the study was that the addition of parijoto fruit extract encapsulation of 0.08% to the ration was able to increase protein and lymphocyte consumption and reduce broiler chicken heterophils.
