Abstrak

The research aims to examine the addition of noni fruit extract, Zn and Cu encapsulation to the diet on protein absorption and meat weight of broiler chickens. The experimental chickens used were 200 unsexed Ross strain broiler chickens aged 9 days with an average body weight of 233.69 ± 7.47 g. Encapsulation of noni fruit extract, Zn and Cu (EEBMZnCu) as treatment. The ration is prepared using a mixture of feed ingredients including yellow corn, rice bran, soybean meal, fish meal, limestone, premix, lysine and methionine. The research was designed using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications, each experimental unit containing 10 animals. The treatments applied included T0 (research ration without EEBMZnCu); T1 (research ration + EEBMZnCu 0.06%) ; T2 (research ration+ EEBMZnCu 0.12%) ; T3 (research ration + EEBMZnCu 0.18%). Parameters measured included protein absorption and meat weight. Data were processed using analysis of variance at the 5% level, if there was a significant effect, the Duncan test was carried out at the 5% level to determine the differences between treatments. The results showed that the addition of EEBMZnCu to the ration had a significant effect (p<0.05%) on protein absorption and meat weight of broiler chickens.  The conclusion of the research is that the addition of noni fruit extract, Zn and Cu encapsulated of 0.12% to the ration can increase protein absorption and meat weight of broiler chickens.
