Oil palm leaves and goat manure are abundant organic wastes with considerable potential for conversion into organic fertilizers, such as vermicompost (kascing). This study aimed to evaluate the optimal composition of vermicompost derived from mixtures of oil palm leaves and goat manure based on its chemical characteristics and conformity to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 7763:2024).The research was carried out from October to December 2024 at the Composting Facility, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science, Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single factor was applied, consisting of five treatments: 1000 g oil palm leaves, 1000 g goat manure, 500 g oil palm leaves + 500 g goat manure, 750 g goat manure + 250 g oil palm leaves, and 250 g goat manure + 750 g oil palm leaves. The findings revealed that the combination of the two organic materials produced vermicompost with superior chemical quality compared to treatments using a single substrate. The mixture containing 250 g goat manure and 750 g oil palm leaves yielded the most favorable results for pH, organic carbon (C-organic), and macronutrient content (N, P, and K), which met the criteria outlined in SNI 7763:2024. However, the resulting C/N ratio did not fully comply with the SNI standard, indicating the need for further optimization of the substrate ratio.
