Body Weight And Udder Volume To Milk Production In Saanen Dairy Goats At The Batu Animal Husbandry Training Center

Abstrak

The aim of this study is to know the weight and udder volume on milk production in Saanen dairy goats at the Batu Animal Husbandry Training Center. Saanen goats are known for their high milk production potential, but this study found that neither body weight nor udder volume significantly influenced milk production. The method used included a quantitative approach with statistical analysis to test hypotheses regarding the influence of these factors. Data were collected from 15 lactating Saanen goats, with measurements including body weight and udder volume, and milk production recorded. While udder volume theoretically has the potential to influence milk yield, the analysis did not show a strong correlation, suggesting that many other factors, including genetics and nutrition, may be more influential. These results emphasize the importance of further research to understand the more complex dynamics behind goat milk production and provide valuable information for livestock farming practices in Indonesia.
