Comparative Analysis of Oil Palm Farming with Land Application and Non-Land Application Techniques

Efforts can be made to overcome the problem of palm oil mill effluent by utilizing it as liquid organic fertilizer through a land application system. Land application has nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium elements that can increase production. This research was conducted at PT Kimia Tirta Utama, Siak Regency, in December 2024 to January 2025. This research uses descriptive and quantitative methods, sampling is done by purposive or deliberate methods. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The results of farming analysis showed that the average production of oil palm in 2022, 2023, and 2024 with land application technique amounted to 346,063 kg and non land application technique amounted to 356,160 kg. The palm oil production stage using the land application technique involves controlling the flow of liquid waste from palm oil mills, waste analysis, and harvesting. The palm oil production stage on non-land application land includes the application of inorganic fertilizers and harvesting.
