Identification of Weed Diversity In Watu Alo Experimental Field

Abstrak

Weeds are plants whose presence is undesirable, apart from that, basically having a place to grow will also be different. Weed Identification is detecting the characteristics of weeds in terms of morphology, anatomy and other characteristics, so that they can be differentiated from other types of plants. The presence and diversity of weeds in the experimental field area of the Indonesian Catholic University of Santu Paulus Ruteng in the Watu Alo area need to be studied and identified to exploit their potential and to control weeds. This research was conducted by purposive random sampling by throwing bamboo with size 1 m x 1 m  which was repeated 5 times. This study used Descriptive Analysis. Observations showed that there were several weeds obtained including Cyperus rotundus, Sphagneticola trilobatata, Ageratum conyzoides, Crassocephalum crepidioides, Imperata cylindrical, Panicum repens, Cuphea carthagenesis, Sonchus oleraceus, Cyperus iria, and Leptochloa chinensis.
