Abstrak

Various agricultural sectors are widely cultivated on many types of land in Indonesia, one of which is riparian wetland which has considerable potential to answer the problem of rampant land conversion. One of the crops that is suitable for cultivation on riparian wetland is tomato plants. However, the problem on riparian wetland is the condition of excess / saturated water, so the application of mycorrhizal biofertilizer is expected to be an alternative to improve soil health, soil nutrient status and agricultural yields. The purpose of the study was to determine the growth response of tomato plants to the application of mycorrhizal biofertilizer in several water-saturated conditions in the early generative phase. This research was conducted in the Laboratory and Experimental Garden of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Plant and Animal Sciences, Universitas Bina Insan from July to November 2024. The design used in this study was a Factorial Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor was water saturation condition (S), while the second factor was mycorrhiza (M). The results showed that the treatment of water-saturated conditions had a significant effect on the results of plant height, number of leaves, root length, and dry weight of tomato plants, while the treatment of a combination of mycorrhizal biofertilizers only had a significant effect on the results of plant height and was not significantly different on the number of leaves and dry weight of plants. Water-saturated conditions and mycorrhizal biofertilizers showed not significantly different in interaction to all observed growth variables of tomato plant.
