Good Dairy Farming Practice (GDFP) is a mandatory procedure for dairy farming that includes all technical
and economic activities in terms of daily maintenance such as reproduction, feeding methods and systems,
sanitation, and disease prevention and treatment. The purpose of this widya study was to evaluate the
implementation of GDFP implementation on PFH cattle at BBPP Batu which was held on January 30 –
February 28, 2022 at BBPP Batu. The results of the widya study show that the implementation of GDFP in
BBPP Batu has been implemented, so that dairy cattle have received proper treatment in cases of livestock
experiencing diarrhea, worms and mastitis with medication. For feed, the dairy cattle at BBPP Batu have
received feed that is quite good in quality and quantity. Meanwhile, in terms of animal welfare, the dairy cows
at BBPP Batu are free from discomfort, and the environment is very supportive for livestock raising. The
results of the recording of dairy cow's milk production at BBPP Batu, which is an average milk production of
14 liters/head/day, which means that milk production is relevant to the milk production of PFH dairy cows in
East Java.
