Abstrak

Crop-livestock integration is the agricultural system of the future because it raises the added value of
farming. This study aims to analyze the economic value of integrated and non-integrated oil palm-cattle in Riau
Province. Profitability analysis is measured by financial feasibility, and continued by calculating the marginal rate of
return (MRR). Data were collected by survey with 165 integrated farmers and 135 non-integrated farmers. The result
shows that integrated farmers earn an annual of IDR 95,258,837, while non-integrated farmers IDR 44,306,007.
Integrated farmers spend 13.43% less than non-integrated farmers for fertilizers. . The MRR value is 2.52, which means
that for every Rp. 1 additional cost incurred due to integration, an additional Rp. 2.52 is obtained. This shows that the
productivity of integrated farmers is higher than that of non-integrated farmers.
