Dynamics Price Response of Chili in Tasikmalaya City

Abstrak

Price adjustments in agricultural commodity marketing institutions fluctuate in relation to driving and inhibiting factors. This study aims to determine the relationship between driving and inhibiting factors on the fluctuating price policy of agricultural products. This study was conducted at Cikurubuk Market as largest market in Tasikmalaya City by taking red chili and cayenne pepper as food commodities with  largest fluctuations in the volatile food group. sample in this study were 30 red chili and cayenne pepper traders. The data were analyzed using nonparametric analysis. results showed that four (5) of the five (5) driving factors were related to chili price policies at the retailer level, namely raw materials, competitors, shipping costs and seasons. Meanwhile, three (3) of the six (6) inhibiting factors, including competitors, relative percentages, and agreements, were related to chili price policies at the retailer level.
