Paper waste is an organic material that can be used as compost. Paper compost may contain humic acid. Composting paper waste, along with the addition of Pseudomonas aeruginosa at various doses, can increase the availability of humic acid and pH. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments with different concentrations of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria at 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%. This study incubated paper compost with Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria for 3 weeks. The parameters in this study were humic acid, water content, organic C, Total N, C:N ratio, and pH H2O. The results showed that the KK2 concentration treatment was significantly different (p < 0.05) from the other treatments. Likewise, the pH of H2O was significantly different (p <0.05) in the KK3 concentration treatment. Increasing the concentration of Pseudomonas aeruginosa increased the pH value of H2O (r = 0.75). Meanwhile, the results of non-linear regression (R2=0.6966) showed that increasing the concentration of Pseudomonas aeruginosa reduced the availability of humic acid in paper compost.
