The use of herbal-based feed additives to improve poultry production has now been developed in Indonesia. The study aims to determine the effect of supplementation of a mixture of fennel flour (TA) and ginger (TT) on the performance of broiler chickens for 1-5 weeks. The study was designed with a completely randomized design one-way pattern, using four treatments. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, each using 10 platinum-strain broiler chickens. The treatments consisted of T1: Control (without a mixture of TA and TT); T2: (3 g TA + 3 g TT) / kg feed; T3: (6 g TA + 6 g TT) / kg feed, T4: (9 TA + 9 g TT) / kg feed. The variables measured included feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion, efficiency of protein use for growth, income over feed, and chick cost (IOFCC). The results showed that supplementation of a mixture of fennel and temulawak flour each at a level of 9 g/kg in the ration would reduce feed consumption, maintain body weight, improve feed conversion and efficiency of protein used in the ration for growth (P<0.05). The highest IOFCC value was obtained at T3 of Rp 1611±1214/broiler. It was concluded that supplementing of a mixture of fennel and temulawak flour in the ration at a level of 6 g/kg would improve feed conversion, efficiency of protein use for growth and IOFCC.
